Elijah Was a Man Like Us… And He Prayed

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.” — James 5:17-18

What Do You Do When Trials Come? We all face challenges—moments when life feels too heavy, when our faith is tested. But the real question is: How do we respond? Everyone faces storms. But when the pressure rises, do we panic, give up—or do we pray?

James teaches us that prayer isn’t just for prophets or super-saints. It’s for people like you and me. Just like Elijah. We pray. Not out of ritual, but with boldness, faith, and consistency.

• Do good

We Pray. We gather. We stand together in faith. “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing. Is anyone sick? Let him call for the elders… and pray… The prayer of faith will save the sick… The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” — James 5:13–16
When life gets hard… we don't panic—we PRAY. When one of us suffers… we don't isolate—we PRAY TOGETHER. The Power of Prayer

What makes prayer effective?
1. Effective – It must align with God’s Word 2. Consistent – Keep on praying 3. Faith-Based – Don’t doubt (Mark 11:22–24)...
